Dr. Khanna’s Returning Youth Initiative at Monroe County Pennsylvania has established a Safe Haven in Tobyhanna, PA. Safe Haven is a place where post Incarcerated and other young adults meet, talk to mentors, learn life and job skills, further their education and become entrepreneurs. There is no discrimination. 

The initiative in Monroe County, has established a local board of directors under the county manager, Willie Saunders. 

Board includes:

• Paul Nelson

• Sayekhul Islam

Safe Haven:

Each Safe Haven member is assigned a case manager. The case manager performs the initial evaluation in order for an action plan to be introduced. 

Qualified Mentors/ therapist: 

• Dr. Umar Farooq — National Medical Physician

Home of Hope:

Our Home of Hope in East Stroudsburg currently has three residents with a full time care giver.

We have established a partnership with Marvel Vision Center located at Upper Darby, PA and VIP Auto Group, LLC at Stroudsburg, PA, under the initiatives entrepreneurship development program.

We have also established MARS Construction Company to provide construction services to the local community.

We have also partnered with local church “A New Beginning in Christ Temple” at Tobyhanna, PA where the initiative started its very first “The Bridge to Faith” program by conducting weekly workshop (every Friday at 6.30pm EST).
